    Hey everyone,
I put out a message last week looking for old Century FM archive and got loads of responses so thank you all. I'm more specifically looking for audio from John Saunders Show in 1991, would anyone be able to help me by any chance? Long shot I know but i'm hoping some of you might have some leads!
    Thanks a lot.

I do not remember a standalone "John Saunders Show" as such. If I recall, I think John Saunders used to be part of Marty Whelan's breakfast crew on weekday mornings from 07:00-09:00am. He may have read the sportsnews and acted as someone for Marty to engage in conversation/banter with. Thinking back to September 1989 to November 1991 it would have before ordinary folk had mobile phones so; no text message reactions/feedback during on-air live broadcasts. Unfortunately, I have no audio of the show from that period.

Incidentally, I think Marty may well have changed tempo from 09:00-10:00am with a segment called "Marty's Golden Years" which had some similar characteristics to Larry Gogan's Golden Hour on RTÉ Radio 2FM. I think Marty would have broadcast interviews with some big stars as well as play music in this segment. This hour was minus John Saunders as far as I recall.

I glanced through the above piece and although; I saw no specific reference to him at Century Radio, I believe this is the same broadcaster. I think he did sportsnews with RTÉ Radio prior to his stint on the short lived Century Radio. If this is the same individual, John Saunders had a great on-air chemistry with Marty Whelan on Century Radio's Breakfast Show back in the day.
