Garage Home Cinema Conversion

    Hi,

I am in the process of getting a garage converted to a home cinema. I'm new to dolby atmos so hoping you might be able to steer me in the right direction? I'm looking at a 7.1.4 setup. This is what I'm thinking now:

    Receiver - Pioneer VSX-LX303(B)
This was the only receiver I could find in my budget, but it only handles two ceiling speakers. Are there any other options?

Front Sides - Dali Zensor 5 Black floor standing

Center - Dali Zensor Vokal Blk (does this have a grill? Does it match the front sides?)

Rear - Dali Zensor 3 Black mounted on brackets

Sides & 4 ceilings - Yamaha NSIC600 (I know you don't sell these so alternative suggestions are welcome)

    Sub-woofer - haven't looked into these yet.

I'm in the market for a projector too but haven't had a chance to look too much into that as I'm working on getting the wiring right with the electrician. Any suggestions or offers?

    Thank you!

    Hi ZAC8.

    Thanks for the post.

If you want to run a 7.1.4 Atmos setup you need to go for a 11.2 receiver and unfortunately these are no cheap.
You can use the Pioneer 503 and use a separate power amp for the extra 2 Atmos speaker but again with the 503 at 999 Euro and the the cost of another 2 channel amp is going to be closer to 1200 - 1300 Euro

The pioneer 303 will allow for 7.1.2 or 5.1.4

The Zensor 5 are coming in at 469 Euro
The Zensor Vokal coming in at 199 Euro
The Zensor 3 at 259 Euro
You could then add in the Dali sub the E9F priced at a crazy 380 Euro - Should be £399 Sterling.
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200064-dali-e9f-black-black-subwoofer.aspx

For side speakers you could look at the Dali Alteco C1 priced at 269 Euro - These can also be used as Atmos Speakers.
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203058-dali-alteco-c1-black-surround-speakers-per-pair.aspx

For iniceiling I would recommend the Monitor Audio Pro 65 priced at 69 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-12812-monitor-audio-pro-65-each-in-ceiling-speakers-6-1-2-driver.aspx

When it comes to the projector are you looking to go 4K or just Full HD?

One of the most popular ones currently would be the UHD40 priced at 1295 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203145-optoma-uhd40-4k-uhd-hdr-dlp-projector.aspx

Let me know your thoughts and I might be able to also work out a bit of a better price on the whole system.

Are you also going to require speaker cable, sublink, HDMI's or do you have these already?

I need in-wall speakers for the sides due to space restrictions. Would the Monitor Audio Pro 65 be ok for that or is there something else you would recommend?

I need to get a receiver for 7.1.4 so looks like I'll need to increase the budget there. What about the Denon AVCX6500H?

The Vokal center speaker doesn't seem to have a grill? Is there a center speaker to match the Zensor 5's?

Yes, it is a 4k projector I'll be looking for. And I won't be needing any cables as the cables are being installed this week.

    Thanks again.

    Hi ZAC8.

The 6500 is a monster and is amazing!! It's already priced at a crazy 2099 Euro which is the same as the £2099 sterling retail.
At 2099 Euro makes it around £1785 sterling.

For in-wall speakers, Monitor Audio do a range the W265 priced at 175 Euro Each. I could offer these at 148 Euro each. (296 Euro for the pair)
    https://www.monitoraudio.com//en/product-ranges/core/w265/

The Dali Zensor Vokal centre does come with a detachable grill. It's just pictured without it. All the Dali Zensor range come with grills which can be removed if you wish.

Starting point for a 4K projector would be the BenQ W1700 priced at 1099 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203122-benq-w1700-dlp-projector-hdr-4k-uhd-ready.aspx

Next up would be the UHD40 mentioned above @ 1295 Euro.

    For the:
    AVCX6500
    Zensor 5's
    Zensor 3's
    Zensor Vokal Centre
    Dali E9F sub
    Pro 65 x4 (In ceiling)
    W265 x2 (In Wall)
I could offer a deal at 3870 Euro delivered.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for that. The audio suggestions look good. Can I ask are the W265 available in black or can that grill be sprayed?

I'm hoping to get the projector through you too and maybe work on a discount with you? I'm also a repeat customer - bought a Yamaha YSP2700 from you just over a year ago :)

I'm hoping to get a 4k projector good for gaming.

    Hi Zac8.
The 6500 really is one heck of an amp and paired with the Dali would sound excellent!

The Grill can be painted as long as you use an acrylic spray paint.

The deal above I had already including discount, the very very best I can squeeze too would be 3840 Euro (Excluding a projector).

If you let me know which projector you might be interested in I ca see if I can work a deal on it too. (Not everything can be discounted and sometimes the Euro price being lower than the sterling will pretty much eat up the room for discount).

    Hi John,

    I think it's AVCX6500H, no? I don't see any RX6500 on your website.

Can you tell me how soon you can get the W265's in? I think the WT280 might not fit but would need to check. I couldn't find a diagram of them anywhere online.

Can you confirm the final price for me please?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Zac.

    It is indeed the AVCX6500.

It would take us 2-3 weeks to get the W265's into stock direct from Monitor Audio.

The price would be the above quote of 3840 Euro minus the 45 Euro off for the Display Vokal would give a total of 3795 Euro.

The only brackets we would stock that would hold the Zensor 3 would be the BT77 which I could offer at 35 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-10926-btech-bt77-black-black-speaker-brackets-per-pair.aspx

I have checked myself online and can't seem to find a template for the WT-280. I'll see if I can open a boxed one here and if you drop me your email in a PM can send you over a picture of it.

    Hi,

I didn’t get around to buying any of this equipment yet as the room wasn’t ready. Now I’m ready to buy I see the zensors have disappeared off your site. Can you recommend any alternatives?

    Thanks.

    Hi Zac8.

Thanks for coming back to us.

The Dali Zensor range has now been discontinued unfortunately.
There are a clearance ex-display set of Zensor 5 but no centre or 3's to complete a system.

You should check out the Fyne Audio range as they have been getting very very good reviews including a 5 star review in What HiFi.

Fyne F302 priced at 449 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203314-fyne-audio-f302-black-speakers-per-pair.aspx

Fyne F301 priced at 299 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-13442-fyne-audio-f301-black-black-ash-speakers-per-pair.aspx

Fyne F300C priced at 199 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-13663-fyne-audio-f300c-black-ash-6-year-g-tee-single-centre-speaker.aspx

    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-13666-fyne-audio-f3-8-subwoofer-black-ash-black-ash-subwoofer.aspx

    Total would be 1296 Euro.
I could offer on a deal at 1160 Euro

The Pro 65 in-ceiling speakers are still current and I can offer at 65 Euro each.
The W265 are a special order product. I could offer these at 153 Euro each
    https://www.richersounds.com/monitoraudio-w280.html

I also still have a few of the older WT280 left which I could offer on a deal at 165 Euro each
    https://www.monitoraudio.com/en/support/past-products/custom-install/wt280/

Denon AVRCX6500 I could offer at 1999 Euro
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-203589-denon-avcx6500h-black-atmos-av-amplifier.aspx

Total for everything with the W265's would be 3725 Euro

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you price the Oberon 5 range for me, including the on wall speakers instead of the w265? I’ll leave the ceiling speakers out for now.

    Thanks.

  • Company Representative Posts: 17,568 ✭✭✭✭Richersounds.ie: Kenny

    Hey Zac8.

    No problem at all.

For the Oberon range there is the following:

Oberon 3 priced at 569 Euro

Oberon 5 priced at 799 Euro

Oberon on wall priced at 499 Euro

    Oberon Vokal priced 349 Euro

E9F sub priced at 463 Euro

    Total would be 2679 Euro.
I could offer a deal at 2428 Euro

Adding in the AXCX6500 the total would be 4400.00

The Oberon would be in league above the Zensor.

    Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks again for your help on this. I'm thinking now of adding another sub woofer to this config. Is there a cheaper one you could recommend?

Thanks again for your help on this. I'm thinking now of adding another sub woofer to this config. Is there a cheaper one you could recommend?
    Hi zac8,

You could look at the Fyne F3-8 at £299. It's a fantastic sub and would fit well with the system.

Let me know what you think.

    Kind regards

Sorry David, I should have said it was the white/oak Oberon's that I am looking to get. Looking through your woofers and it would seem the Dali might be the best choice so I might just stick with one for now.

Some of the white/oak Oberon range are cheaper on your site than the quote above. The receiver and Dali E9F are also cheaper now. Can you give me your best price on this lot?

    Hi Zac8.

Yes there have been some prices changed going into this week in the run up to Black Friday.
However the deal price that I offered at the bottom of the price listings at 2428 Euro is still cheaper by nearly 200 Euro to the current Web pricing of the White or Oak finish.

The AVCX6500 has indeed dropped in price and adding this now makes the total 4357 Euro delivered.

The White finish currently has a few lines out of stock:
    Oberon 3
    On Wall
    E9F

I've got my feelers out to see if I can obtain an ETA on more stock arriving.

    Hi Zac8.

There is no E9F sub in the Oak finish. Black, White or Walnut only it would seem.

The deal price would still stay the same at 4357 Euro. Lets say 4350 Euro dead.

I would need to order up everything the Oak finish as there is currently none of it in stock at our main warehouse.

Let me know what you think.

Hi Kenny. One last thing - after checking the room again I've decided the Oberon 3's are too big for the space so need to downgrade them to the Oberon 1. Can you adjust the price for that and give me an ETA on the oak finish Oberons and white E9F when you have them?

Thanks again for all your help.

    Hey Zac8.

If you switch to the Oberon 1's then the total would drop to 4000 Euro.

I'l drop our purchasing guys an email to try and confirm an ETA.

    Hi ZAc8.

Thing have been crazy here the last few days with Black Friday so it's taking a little longer then usual to get the ETA from our purchasing guys.

For a Quote Reference you can just use my name (Kenny).

I'll try my best to pin down an ETA today.

    Hi zac8,

They haven't actually got back to us yet!

I'll send them a reminder email and see what the score is!

    Kind regards
