Any point in holding onto the appliance? They don't cost a lot and owe me nothing.

Anything I can do to fix the thermostat?

It comes on for ten seconds and goes to sleep for a minute...so is fairly ineffective at heating the room now.

Sounds like the thermostat is getting warmed by the heater, are all the vents clear?

I have blown onto the thermostat (with my mouth -nothing else to hand) and it seems to have helped. It stays on a bit longer now and gets a bit hotter.

Hope I don't have to take it apart and that it is just a build up of fluff in the vicinity of the thermostat (the main vents seem to be clear)
