Myself and the other half want to go away this year. Won't be until October as we have recently moves into our own place and working on it. were looking for somewhere sunny and cheapish for a week with a 2yr old.

Was thinking the canary islands seen as how it's always nice over there.
Anyone recommend any specific hotels or apartments ? Or any other place that's nice to go to in October. Somewhere with a pool haha.

    Thanks

We went to the seabank in Malta with our 2 year old October a few years ago and it was perfect,4* all inclusive and very reasonable, weather was late teens, you wouldn't be swimming in the outdoor pool but the indoor one was heated. small playground, on the beach for nice walks.

It's a quiet area though, no 'strip' if you're into that kind of thing. Its a 5 min walk from a little village with shops etc.

Tagoro family and fun in tenerife. Stayed there 4yrs ago and going there again in less than 3months, with 2.5 and 9 year olds. They did a massive improvement over the last years, expanded in area and build more outdoor and indoor atractions for kids. Its an all inclusive resort with great animation program for all, lovely food. If you do decide to go there, book directly through dreamplace hotel chain or double check on trivago, all other sites like booking.com hotels.com etc charge double. https://www.dreamplacehotels.com/en/hotel-tagoro/photo-gallery

How good a flyer is your child? Some of the destinations mentioned are quite a long time for a two year old to be sitting in one place. For us it was the south of Spain with a relatively short flight.

We went with our then 21 month old daughter to Port de Pollenca in Majorca for 10 days at the end of September/ start of October last year & it was perfect.
Ideal weather around 23 degrees on average lovely and sunny and warm but not too hot for the little one.
It’s a lovely little town in a very picturesque setting & has a lovely beach (nice little smaller sections along the Pine Walk area were great for our daughter).
Nice restaurants and whilst not cheap it’s not mad expensive either.
We booked a private apartment in the Bellresgaurd area (Sangrila complex).
There was a nice communal pool area which was quiet at that time of year.
I would highly recommend the place & probably will go back again this year.
The flight was a little over 2 hours I think from Shannon.

Fariones playa or sands beach resort in lanzarote . Flight is only 4hrs. Wouldn't go anywhere else but canaries in October as its a year round destination. Majorca & Algarve start to closed down end of sept.
