Those of us who were kids in the 90s will remember him from Beverley hills 90210 and the Buffy the vampire Slayer movie. Was a pretty big heart-throb back in the day. Only 52 years old and had suffered massive stroke a few days ago.. Rip

Edit - I see there's another thread on this. Can't delete this though

He was the good looking cool bad ass that I wanted to be back in the early 90s.
52 and dying from a stroke, that is no age.

Passed away from a stroke in hospital at the young age of 52.

Remember him from 90210 amongst other things . Used to be on Sky after the Simpsons on a Sunday evening.

    RIP

I loved Dylan preferred him to Brandon

A bad day for heartthrobs of 90s/00s with loss of Luke and Keith

My teenage years really at the forefront of my mind today.

Raves at the weekend dancing to The Prodigy and chilling on the Sunday watching 90210.

    RIP Luke x

Stroke at 52? He even looks healthy and good for his age. Really sad

Did he have any health issues or anything? I really have problems with hypochondria and stories like this of completely healthy people like this who are just gone poof in a day with no warning just drive me up the wall and makes me feel like my incessant irrational worries are justified

Crazy to think that both himself and Keith flint didn't reach 55 years of age.

Not a great day for the 90's. I know he was in riverdale but haven't watched any of it so can't say whether he was good in it or not but he didn't look unhealthy from what I saw of him. I assumed that Shannon Doherty would be the first of the 90210 original cast to clock off given her battles with cancer but no.

    Great in The Simpsons
He really was. So able to laugh at himself as Krusty's estranged brother/Sideshow Luke Perry. "My face! My valuable face!" :)

Was totally in love with him. Gorgeous man.

And he's in the upcoming Tarantino movie about the Manson murders, which is one hell of a catch after years of being I suppose kinda adrift after 90210 (which happened to all the cast).

So sad that he didn't get to be around for that movie's release and the doors it might have opened for his career.

He was the coolest cat in "90210", a rebel, a latter day James Dean. Would see him occasionally after 90210 in made-for-TV movies or in cameo roles in TV series and he managed to keep his looks and give the roles a bit of weight. RIP

Was such a huge 90210 fan back in the 90's. Brandon was my favourite, but Luke Perry was one beautiful guy.

Seems we've moved on from 80's icons dying to 90's icons now. 52 is no age at all. RIP :(

No health issues I don't think? I don't recall him having drug issues or anything like that either. Although I read that he recently had back surgery so perhaps the stroke was linked to that? He looked ok for his age, not super unhealthy or anything. It was refreshing to see a hollywood type age naturally , without botox and fillers for once

When did the stroke happen? I'm sure I heard about this yesterday.

Either that or I'm now a psychic

    Ahhhh no.
    He was my favourite.
    Absolute heart throb.
    Too young.

Feck. I heard he’d had a stroke but thought he’d pull through.

I don’t know. I think he looks quite frail here in his Wikipedia photo. I think he looks older than 50ish there. It’s from 2017 apparently.

There's a blast from the past. 52 - he's only a gossin, as the auld people would say. I remember when the cailíní of my youth had me competing with Luke Perry, Keanu Reeves and Mel Gibson at various stages.

You can have a stroke at any age. Always thought he had a lot of wrinkles - thought he was older, would have said late 60s.

Exactly. You can be the healthiest, clean living picture of health ever and all the time this time-bomb could be in your head waiting to take you out.

    RIP Luke.

Yes but in a healthy person in early fifties the chances are extremely low if you dont smoke, dont have high blood pressure, are not diabetic, are not obese, and do regular exercise and dont do hard drugs

So Id like to know what the cause was

Luke Perry lived a clean lifestyle,
    Sometimes there are no answers

Can’t be the first time you have heard of someone dying /heart attack etc out of the blue surely ?

Yeh I have, but theres always an answer though, be it a rare genetic disorder that was never diagnosed or a chance happening like what happened model Katie May https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katie_May or a combination of several minor factors that alone werent significant but together led to a tragedy

But you cant have a stroke for absolutely no reason

My first crush.....I don't think I even found the opposite sex attractive until I discovered him in 90210 or paid any attention to boys beforehand!

    Very young to die.
