Want to get ATV2 on AirPlay

    Took a couple of old ATV2 out of storage.
    Want to stream from my MacBook to a non-Smart TV.
    Both on same SSID.
    The MacBook is searching for the device but can't find it.
    Any advice please ?

    Yes it's on and Apps are working.
    It's just that my MacBook cannot find it.
    Same with my second ATV as well.

    Managed to find the ATV .
    Connected and cast from Youtube.
    Have sound and no picture.

    Do you have the optical audio lead in between the Apple TV and tv?

    I have ATV2 and it won’t work. Software updates stopped it. I’m the same with only audio.

    Remember you can jailbreak the 2 with seasonpass. Gives you plex, file streaming over network etc.

    My ATV2 was jailbroken before but the software must have been updated.
    Can to jailbreak it again ?
    Have a stupid MacBook Pro with no USB ports.

    It’s the MacBook OS that’s changed not the ATV.
