    Hello
My house sits side on to a public park ,so a side wall runs from my front garden through to the end of my back garden , when i bought the house nearly 30 years ago the builder told me that the wall was mine as the boundary line was approx 1 foot further into the park , a 10 foot section of this wall is falling down and i want to replace it with a metal fence rather than brick , how can i find out if the wall is actually mine or if its a shared wall does it matter what structure i use to fill the gap ?

    Land registry map.
Should be outlined in your purchase documents or deeds.

The fact that it is bounded onto a public park I would contact the LA and inform them under H&S and see if they will do it i.e. they pay;) That way you can be sure that it will be done properly...
I wouldnt take too much heed of what the builder says tbh.. Will tell you what you want to hear most of the time.
As above check the land reg docs..

Ill get in touch the land registry to confirm the actual boundary line , it suits me to use a full metal fence as i can have it made through work , can they insist on brick to replace the small section coming down .
