We will be arriving into Tenerife (TFS) soon and I’d like to book s taxi transfer to our hotel. I’ve found a few options on the net, but can anyone give me a personal recommendation?

I'm not familiar with Tenerife at all but assume that regular taxi's are available outside the terminal like the other Canery Islands so you could just hop in one?
If looking for a private transfer, Viva transfers & Zip transfers are used in Fuerteventura a good bit, they should be cheaper than a taxi & you should be met in the arrival hall with your name on a board, we are using Viva later in the year in Fuerteventura for the first time, they seem well reviewed from what I can figure out.

+1 OP, if you book a taxi, it often has to park 50-100m away from the terminal so you have to wheel your bags to him. Whereas the taxi rank is typically outside the terminal so you have very little to walk.

It's a holiday island, there will be taxis outside the terminal. I wouldn't book anything in advance unless you have special requirements.

Thanks all, but I much prefer to have it all arranged and know that I will have a driver waiting for me. I’m used to doing this and I know well that the car will likely be parked in the nearest car park .

If you have any recommendations for chauffeur/transfer services, I’d much appreciate it.

Best then to go onto the Tenerife forum on TripAdvisor, put airport transfer into the search box & read what posters have experienced,

I don’t use TripAdvisor, as I don’t trust a single word on it. I’m looking for recommendations from this community here.

You could argue the same about trusting posters on Boards, but this is at least a a community that I know.

You don’t know me from Adam but I post on TA a good bit too & have got plenty of good info & tips on it for our travels, I’ll be using Viva transfers in July, they seem to be well reviewed & September too if July works well, if I remember, I’ll post back my experience here, I can’t do any more for you, enjoy your trip

I've been using Hoppa for the past few years for transfers at TFS without any problems. Everything is arranged and confirmed online, so you don't have to ring anyone to confirm your return journey. Drivers are polite and helpful. Enter your flight details during the booking process, so they can keep track if delays occur with airlines. Prices comparable to taxis.

I was there last June and the bus was fantastic. 1st time I used a local bus, I always used a taxi but the q was big so we walk around to be buses.

The bus dropped us outside our hotel it was cheap, clean and quick.

    Exactly!

    Routes & timetables : https://titsa.com/index.php/en/

Ten+ card ( similar to Leap Card ) for bus ( "guagua" ) & 'el luas' ( tranvia ) sold in arrivals area of TFS.

( The Titsa stops at TFS are directly outside the arrivals area )

    Seriously folks

The OP isn't even prepared to walk out of the terminal to hail a taxi. And you expect him/her to walk to a bus stop  And sit beside smelly, ordinary folk!

Wasting your sweetness on the desert air

Wind in back there, that’s uncalled for. I’ve been clear in what I’m looking for. It may not be what you would do, but it’s what I want.

Thanks to those that recommended transfer services. I’ve always found personal recommendations to be the best, hence my request.

Perfectly happy for you to exercise your options. Posters who ignore expressed preferences are like the people over in Commuting & Transport who insist that you can cycle everywhere, even when people ask for driving directions and state quite clearly that they have to use a car.

I’ve gone to Tenerifelast 3 years with wife and 2 kids
There is no need for private taxi
The rank is literally just outside the airport
Costs approximately 25-30 to go to PDLA

Had gone to Portugal previous few summers and had to use private hire (yellowfish) but there is genuinely no need to do so on Tenerife

I have used this company a couple of times in mainland Spain and found them excellent.

I used Viva transfers last year on Fuerteventura. Will be booking them again this year.

I booked a private transfer which worked out at €35; a taxi for the same journey would have been about €45. My flight landed half an hour early but they were obviously monitoring the flights as the rep was already waiting in the terminal for me. She took my wheelie case from me (she insisted) and wheeled it out to the car. Would highly recommend them. I like nice service on my holidays too :)

+1 on Hoppa, I've used them for shared coach transfers from airport to hotel before with no issues but they do private transfer options also.
