laser / inkjet printers

hi ,

looking to buy a printer , but no idea whats what. its for home use , and small office use. want to print in colour , wireless & scanner. building a house shortly, and its for printing ideas from years off info ,i have saved and but want to print off. so prob be a lot off. But there is so much choice... and cant figure out . help appreciated .

Is colour important? How much printing do you think you'll do, pages per week/month? Will it be a steady amount or in bursts with the printer sitting idle for extended periods? Is A4 big enough or do you want bigger prints?

ya colour would be important , A4 is enough, will be alot of printing to begin with , then might calm down to 2-3 pages a day ...

Realistically your looking at inkjet for colour. Colour laser is expensive and big. If you're doing a lot of printing, an Epson ecotank inkjet might be the way to go. Ink is very cheap but print quality is only ok.

Not sure if other manufacturers equivalent products are available here.

just buy a cheap one from Argos but make sure you can get cheap refills from Amazon or elsewhere as the official ones are expensive
and as they are so cheap it doesn't matter if the cheaper ink damages it but tbh this has never happened to me using 3rd party ink refills

Be aware that many with cheap printers, it's cheaper to just buy a new printer than buying all the cartridges!

be aware that with many cheap printers the 'new' cartridges are 1/2 full.

thus purchasing a new printer better be 1/2 the price of buying inks!!!

Get an app for scanning, you'd be more inclined to scan stuff there and then :
