Could anyone share examples of what they have used to achieve a 0.18 U value for a brick/block external wall?

I'm looking for examples with and without full fill insulation.

Just to be clear - I'm not looking for anything "copyrighted" or for anyone to give away proprietary rights. Please let me know if I'm breaking any rules.

If people do not want to share that's fine.

    you misunderstand.....

what i mean is that some solutions are acceptable in some areas while others arent. ie full fill bead insulation on a brick house on the coast isnt acceptable while in the middle of leitrim youd be fine.

professionals assess these things, its not always a blanket answer.

What is the current build that was specified ?
And is it the builder looking to change? If so what are they proposing?

There is no builder at this stage. A potential specification would be.

    100 MM BLOCK/BRICK WORK
    150 MM XTRATHERM CAVITY THERM
    100 MM INTERNAL BLOCK WORK

There are of course a number of factors in choosing. I'm interested in examples and experiences of others.

That spec will give you a much better u value than 0.18

Read around the forum this have been cover to death. You could write pages on this comparison.

I went timber frame personally. I’ve design 150 cavity spec’s such as yours above. Also wider cavities with pumped beads. Preference would be stay away from drylining - if your building with block you’re chasing and air-sealing inner face of block.

Thanks, I'll search around. Could you elaborate on your preference? I didn't quite follow.
