Stop apps from stopping audio?

    Does anyone know a way to stop certain apps from stopping the audio I'm listening to? For example, when I open the Sky Sports Football app, whatever audio I'm listening to automatically stops playing. Pressing a play button on whatever headphones I'm wearing doesn't restart it either. I have to go back into the music/podcast app and press play there to resume the audio. It's very annoying when I'm regularly checking the app for scores etc.

    I have had this issue on other apps in the past but I can't remember which ones off the top of my head.
