    Hi Eir,

Moving home soon. Need to move my BB service to the new house.

I have been on hold for approx 90 mins so far today plus another 30 mins both yesterday and Monday. I tried the utterly useless chat channel and was given 1800 242 535 but that just has hold music all day.

I have filled out the form on the eir website Monday and no one has contacted me either despite it being over the 48 hours in which a call back is promised.

How can this be sorted without spending more time on hold?

    thank you.

    Hi bot43

Unfortunately we can't deal with this issue through Social Media Channels.  You would need to contact customer service on 1901 and ask to be put through to the loyalty department to do a cease and re-provide.

    Many thanks

    Hi Linzi

Ive patiently been on hold on 1901 for the last 25 minutes. This after spending time on hold with this number and the 1800 number above too.

can you ask one of your reps to contact me perhaps?

    "
    Hi jasper100,

    Thanks for your post.

There are various ways that customers can get through to our customer care team. You can contact on social media - boards.ie, twitter and facebook You can contact our webchat team here and you can get through to our customer care team by calling 1901

    Grainne"

I just read that thread, now you are stating Eir wont deal with people through social media??
Eir dont seem to deal with people full stop, not through social media, or even your own channels as highlighted here and in other posts.

    Hi bot43

Unfortunately we wouldn't be able to do call back requests through Social Media.  We do appreciate your patience, but calling 1901 is the only way to get through to the home move team.

Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

    Hi 1874,

The post that you are referring to above is in regard to customer account queries.

The Social media team are unable to process account cancellations.

    Thanks,
    Grainne

So am I to understand that I am to put my life/job on hold to stay on hold indefinitely?

    Hi bot43

eir customers are currently facing longer than normal, and longer than acceptable, wait times when contacting our Customer Care call centres. We apologise for this temporary situation and we appreciate our customers' patience as we continue to transition to our new call centres in Cork, Limerick and Sligo over the next few months and to a far better experience for all of eir's customers.

    Regards
    Linzi
