Why woud you put expanding foam along outside Side of the roof

    HI can i just ask any Roofers why would you put expander foam on the outside roof side of the house along the .What good would that do?

    I saw a lad stick on ridge tiles with expanding foam once upon a time, twas nothing short of disgusting.
    Ridge tiles are till there after 10yrs or so

    The more i think it was under the tiles, It is like this pic but not the house Just pretend the v shape is @ the siide of the house. The red line is where i saw all the foam when passing

    I think some people fill up gaps with expanding foam to prevent birds building nests just under the tiles?

    Was this the finish or just mid-installation of something?

    Most foams will breakdown under UV light unless painted or covered...are you sure it was expanding foam and not lime mortar for example?

    It was mid installation It was expanding foam, it was all cleaned now on passing on way back can only see small traces of it.

    They were a bunch of cowboys con artists i was told. Usual twats go around telling u,u need stuff done when you don't.
