    Hey.
So after being on the phone for 1 hour and 40 minutes (even have a screenshot to show its not waffle) and not getting an answer, I have cancelled my direct debit.
The account is in my girlfriends name, our contract ran up in May, I paid my bill this month and have cancelled.
I was going to change to Sky but they couldn't transfer me over until the 30 day cancel period with Eir ended, and since I can't get through to cancel, it would of been hassle.
My aul lad shows me an online only deal for Eir, 12 months 30 euro a month, with a landline and Eir Sports.
I decided to sign up for this under my own name this time.
The cancellation of my girlfriends account shouldn't affect the technician setting up the landline or anything right?
I will not be calling you guys again since I don't have the time nor money to be spending on the phone for 2 hours.
If you want to call me I can PM you my phone number.
    G'luck.

    Hi AndyOHart

Unfortunately we can't deal with cancellation or call back requests through Social Media channels.  The cancellation of the account does have to be requested by calling 1901 and speaking to the cancellations department.  There can't be two accounts under separate names at the one address.  The order that you placed online will fail to go through.  You can certainly cancel your account by giving the 30 days notice then once it is cancelled we can re-provide in your name with the online offer.  Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

    Kind regards

    Linzi

Ok can you do me a favour and call up for me and spend 2 hours on the phone and ask them to call me back?
Cause I have tried to already multiple times and am not getting anywhere, so the cancellation of the direct debit may suffice

    Hi AndyOHart

As I have advised previously, you would have to speak with an agent.

    Kind regards
