Why do people put eggs in the fridge? I have never seen them in the fridge in a supermarket.

Pinot Grigio pouch of lovely vino from M+S natch.

Full fat Greek yogurt from Aldi.

    Milk.

    Cream.

Cheese, ham, and eggs. (I don't know why we put them in the fridge either, habit I suppose).

As you can see Vino takes up the most space. I am not getting up to investigate further right now lol!

I think it's to prolong the life of them.
They'd be moving faster off the shelf in the shop and could be left lying around at home.
I think I also read somewhere that the supermarket temperature is fairly consistent and the one at home goes up and down more.

I’m a washed up American detective just home from a grim murder scene. The fridge in my unkempt apartment contains a carton of sour milk and 6 bottles of beer.
