    Hi folks,
    My wife's 08 jazz is due nct July 2nd. We will actually be away for July and half of August. I thought you could test early and still get 12 months from renewal but seems it's from test date? How about testing late? If we test mid August when back is that ok? Will the renewal date be from test date or July 2nd?

    You can test up to 90 days before the due date, and still get the cert up until the usual expiry date the following year.

    So in other words you can get a 15 month NCT

    I would do it before rather than after you go away.

    If you test it when you get back then you're running the risk of getting caught, plus the expiry date will still be July 2nd 2020.

    Thanks just booked for April.. I read it wrong though renewal would be 12 months later
