Student Loan for abroad?

I am doing my Leaving Cert this year, and planning to move abroad to study in the Netherlands.
Am I still able to take out a student loan? The BOI website seems to imply that exceptions can be made regarding people who want to study abroad rather than in Ireland, but I'm not sure.

If yes, what kind of information about my education must I prepare before I try to apply?

    Hi there hslapo,

    Welcome to Boards!

To get a student loan the course you are studying would need to be on the CAO.

If you've any other questions, give us a shout!

    Thanks,

    Lorna
