Triax 4 in 1 TV Facia

    Hi folks,

I purchased a Facia to tidy up the incoming shotgun and single coax cables for satellite and Saorview feeds. The Facia has Sat 1, Sat 2, TV and FM outputs. However on the back there is only two inputs, unlabelled. Do these two inputs split whatever signals are inputted? As in TV output looks after Saorview frequency range and Sat 1 & 2 look after Sat frequency range?

For example for a single satellite and single Saorview input would this split the Satellite to both Sat 1 and Sat 2 and the Saorview signal to the TV output? Will one leg of shotgun cable split between the Sat 1 and Sat 2 outputs sufficiently in order to record?

Model is Triax TV/Radio/SAT1/SAT2-Q Quad Screened Outlet, Part No. 304109.

    Thanks in advance.

I would expect it to have four separate inputs for 4 coax cables.

I expected 3 at least, 2 for Sat and 1 for TV/Radio. From what I can find about it online it seems to combine the signals and split them dependant on which output they’re going to.

The point I was making is that the Sat coax cannot normally be split unless using a special LNB or other means.

The TV/Radio might well be on one coax, but I suspected not

Could be a splitter to decouple Tv from sat coax. Website does not specify

TV, Radio and Satellite can all be on one Cable. I believe the second input is just for the second satellite. They must be combined before being terminated in this socket

As per stephend2000 post above, input 1 is a triplexer - Sat1/TV/Radio -, input 2 to Sat2 only. Sat 2 can also be used as a Return feed, to attic for example.

Modular suggestion for 3 cables with single pattress/backbox, a deep box may be required
