    Hi All...

Am looking at replacing our current Electric Hob and like look of the Blomberg model as below. They are in sold thru the Euronics stores - so are widely available.

I appreciate they are a sister company of the Beko brand .. I think Turkish made.

However - a current sale in local Euronics is offering me:

    1. a 5% discount on the attached €269
    2. a 3 years parts and labour guarantee.

It really seems a lot better value that the other displays models of Electrolux etc .. who only have a 1 yr guarantee at the same cost.

Anyone got any comments on this ..or Blomberg in general?? An seriously thinking of pulling the trigger on one.

    Regards

Blomberg is not a 'sister company' of anyone. The Blomberg brand was totally dormant and was purchased 'off the shelf' by Beko who now use the brand and would like you to think that what you're buying is the result of '130 years of innovation' (see website below) which is complete BS.

KAL Ireland (electrical distributors) does exactly the same with the Nordmende brand which they bought off the shelf, they claim their products have 'German engineering heritage'. Low grade Chinese crap if the posts in boards are anything to go by. With the added bonus of poor customer service.

No, it's a fake brand as far as I'm concerned. There's plenty of ceramic hobs for less than that price on Power City, DID and Harvey Norman ..... Electrolux, Zanussi & Whirlpool for example.
