    https://www.pcgamesn.com/fallout-3/fallout-3-remaster-amazon
There’s a listing for a new, unknown Bethesda product on Amazon, and the placeholder video it’s using is a Fallout-style countdown timer. What could it mean? Nobody knows! So let’s speculate.

    Countdown timer

    A remaster?

Unlikely its NV but 3 remastered would be decent.

Could it be fallout 1 and 2? They are releasing on current gen consoles soon and you get them free of you own 76 I believe. Maybe that countdown is for that standalone games?

Whatever it is, it's probably too unrealistic to expect it to run on something other than that fragile, hacked-up version of GameBryo (though haven't played Fallout 4 / 76, so maybe those use something new - doesn't look it tho)

Seems like the most pointless remaster of all time if it's true, is anybody that desperate to play Fallout 3 again? They'd be better off giving the original 1&2 a coat of polish and bringing them out.

Don't underestimate gamers these days. Fans of Fallout 3 will lap it up and all will be forgiven with Bethesda

Given Skyrim has been re-released on nearly every conceivable platform & format, a remaster of Fallout 3 wouldn't surprise. Though given the general clusterf*ck Fallout 76 has turned out to be, I suspect Bethesda want the fans back onside & quickly.

    When is the reveal?

I loved Fallout 3... 11 years ago. I go back to it today, and its got the same shoddy crap Bethesda has been serving us for years. Clunky interface, full of bugs. Only user-made mods can fix it. The remaster ensures that users will have to start all over again (or Bethesda lock down modding like they have in recent times).

As much I would like to see a proper remaster, I can only see it going completely awry as usual.

I've played 3 countless times, no interest in a remaster as it will just look like fallout 4 at best which still looked ****. Bethesda can shove it up their hole. I never played 1 or 2 so wouldn't mind trying them.

They should remake 1 and 2 in whatever engine they are using these days. I'd buy it/them. But they would have to add alot more content to fill a proper full 3D freeroaming world, but god forbid they actually do any work or make any new assets instead of rehashing everything from older titles

They could literally do a HD/4K remaster of Fallout 2 as it is, and it would still kick the **** out of Fallout 4. One of my favorite games ever.

Yep, but i don't think the audience for Isometric RPGs is there anymore. I mean, i would buy it but it's a pretty niche genre these days and it wouldn't net Bethesda trillions of billions of dollars as the FPS games do

    The missing Van Buren game?

    The missing Van Buren game?

Very doubtful, didn’t Black Isle own the rights to that?

I know it's unlikely :( but it'd be nice! From the design documents it looked great (given the technology available at the time)

Some of the plot elements were recycled into Fallout New Vegas.

On the fence? Wait and see before picking it up?

Wish they would jut tell us what is it, instead of all these poxy countdown timers, watch now its a countdown for a "Big" announcement at E3 or the end of September.

When you listen to Timothy Cain, the original Designer of Fallout explain the singular vision and passion the team had,
it makes it all the more painful to realise how the Fallout franchise was shat upon by Fallout 76

You can make a drinking game out of the amount of Skyrim editions.
