I dont think the problem is a cable tbh.

The door sounds like it is deadlocked. When you lock the car with central locking you cant even open it from the inside handle
Does it feel like handle inside the door isnt pulling far enough to open the door ?

No, it can goes out by synchronization, if the battery was dead or had the raw battery replacement.

Yes these days are the simple battery replacement the science :) Why? Simple, modern cars can have over 100 different micro controllers. If you just disconnect the terminals and replace the battery, you can ruin some of these micro controllers. No joke! For that purpose I ordered the obd2 backup power connector from aliexpress. It was something 6 or 7 eur. It keeps the computers happy until the battery are replaced. The cigarette lighter version are too on market, but that may useless if your car turns the cigarette lighter off by ignition off.

    The lock itself fails,
It's a pain in the hole.
Try banging the door and hitting the button.
You need to take the whole door apart to change it.
I diyed mine twice but you need time, tools and a lot of patience.

Yeah they are partial to a door lock, best advice is above, keep banging the door around the lock area and trying the handle at the same time, then when the door opens don't close it again :pac: otherwise all you can do is cannabilise the door card which isn't much fun.

Before the hard and dirty work, try to synchronize the all door locks.
It is not the simple wires and connectors, it is the computer.

If you open the door window, can you open it from the inside?
If the door opens, give it a good hard close a few times and that might sort it out for you.
(it did for me) 1 would get 6+ months before I would have to do it again.
You needed to be sure that the car was unlocked before trying the door handle as if you tried to open the door when it was locked it was screw it up

Same thing happened a couple of times over the years with my aged car so a few bangs at the lock area got it opened too.Found out that when i engaged the deadbolt from the keyfob it was happening so i dont use the deadbolt and never had the same problem again..
