4 wheel alignment

I've just had my 4 wheel alignment done this morning. Prior to this a few days ago I had the rear tracking nuts and links changed on both sides. I had to get this done as the tracking nuts where seized up and the 4 wheel alignment could not be adjusted.

Now that the tracking nuts and links where changed, I've just had the 4 wheel alignment done. My question is on the picture attached of the print out of the alignment there is a figure on the final values (01 58) on the rear axle left hand side that is highlighted in red. Why is this figure red while all the other figure are green? Is this ok? Should this figure be in the green range considering that the tracking nuts and links where just changed and therefor it should be possible to have these figures perfect?

    Thanks

    That's camber out of T by 19 minutes , probably a worn bushing .

But could of this being adjusted by the tracking nut more or is it a case that it cannot be adjusted correctly due to a worn bushing?

Will this cause uneven wear on my tyre now or is this minimal? Because I had problems with uneven wear on my tyre, hence getting the tracking nuts/links changed.

I corrected my original reply camber is out of tolerance by a third of a degree so it will cause a little extra wear on the inner edge of the tyre. Will further tracking adjustment correct it is hard to say without trying.

I presume this will still pass the NCT or should I be bring it back to the garage for further adjustment?

But if a worn bush is the issue readings will change all the time and the nct will fail worn bushes when seen.

19' of camber outside tolerance on a Kia Ceed will not have any noticeable affects on tyre condition or passing the NCT.

Forget about it and move on, it'll be almost impossible to pinpoint which component is causing such a minute irregularity.

Car was just serviced and links were changed so i presume the bushes would have been changed also if needed.

Hopefully if spotted and was it checked on a 2 post ramp with hanging suspension or on a 4 poster ramp as sometimes can be missed when hanging down. All you can do is put it in and let nct check it out with their over vigorous machine of death.

Quick update, the picture of test did not attach. So the values are:

Camber lefthand side rear axle, final values -01 58. Value should be -01 09. Tolerance is -00 30. That is -00 19 out of the tolerance limits. Is this a minute irregularity and would it have an effect on tyre condition/uneven wear?

    Thanks

Not really DIY, moved to main forum.

rear camber may not be adjustable depending on model or something is preventing it from being brought within spec, like suspension wear.

    What's the car?

Quick update, rang the garage and was told that when doing the four wheel alignment the camber cannot be adjusted. They only adjust the tracking rod and that the camber values will change when the tracking rod is adjusted but that they cannot adjust that independently.

This has to be adjusted by a mechanic but not worth doing if only out by a small bit as it is a big job.

According to this the Kia Ceed only has rear toe adjustment, no camber, so I'm not sure what a mechanic can do for you.

    http://www.kceed.com/alignment_repair_procedures-1167.html

The camber will change slightly when you change the toe, but not enough to pull 19 minutes out of it.

My money would be on a worn bush or something like that. Let the NCT find the cause for you as was mentioned above (if it even shows up in the test).

OP, I've merged your 2x threads. Please stick to one thread per topic. Thanks.
