You need to do a theory test, and then driving test to obtain C licence.

Additionally if you want to use your C licence for driving for work, then you'll need to do Driver's CPC which includes theory tests + practical test.

Really... You didn't know you had to do a test for a truck licence? Theory test will require some serious study

You have to sit the theory test again, then get your provisional, then sit the full test.
If you're under 21, you have to also your CPC. Not required if you're over 21.

You need to do a theory test and get a medical done by your GP.

Then apply for the learner permit

    Are you doing the CPC?

If so then you need to do 2 theory tests, cases studies & multiple choice questions.

Do your lessons, apply for your test.

Are you doing lessons in an instructors truck? I’d assume so?

Then the driving test itself and the practical CPC (show and tell)

You only need CPC if you intend on driving professionally.

Theory test for C licence is pretty straight forward.
It's the CPC theory tests which require a bit more studying.

There's a few cheat sheets available in the learning to drive forum.

Apply for the theory test first once you pass that get the medical done from your GP this is only valid for 28 days so you need an appointment real quick with the NDLS.
Eason sell the Truck & Bus theory test were there is questions& answers as someone else mentioned some of the lads in the learning to drive section have put up the case studies.

you have to do the test in a suitable vehicle of course. You didn't really think you could just have it added to your B license did you?

It was more in relation to the starting point of zero knowledge the OP has... I've done both.. not rocket science

Not required if you're over 21 and do not intend to drive for reward. Otherwise it is required.

If you are under 21, it must be done regardless of whether or not you intend to drive for reward.

I think they were of that belief.
