I am in a level 6 higher cert. in Biology and I want to transfer to Maynooth and do a Bachelor of Science there. The problem is, is that I don't understand what they mean by merit. I know that a merit is a GPA score of 2.5,but is it per year or semester. I know GPA is calculated per semester after the semester exams, so is it possible to transfer after 1 semester. I know that I have to repeat 1St year again, but I don't mind.

So, is it possible to transfer from a level 6 to a level 8 after a semester?
