    Hi

I am trying to sell something, its a caran dache fountain pen and is worth a few hundred euro. I dont think irish people have much interest in things like this so throwing it up on adverts or donedeal will probably not get a sale.

Can anyone recommend a site to sell this on between ebay and amazon? Which one charges the least fees ?

You'd be offered a tenner on Adverts plus they'd say "Are you ever in Dublin?”

Lol. Very true. It’s a waste even Trying to sell it on Irish market.

Unless it worth a tenner and you are in Dublin it’s pointless

    Costs nothing to try
I have sold plenty of high value items on adverts and done deal without much hassle

Donedeal and adverts have fees too don’t they?

Stick it on eBay and eBay take 10% and PayPal just under 4%
If you can list it on U.K. eBay and set your location as somewhere in the U.K. you will get more trafific

Jaysus. Didn’t realise these companies got this much. Serious turnover.

I've been selling on Ebay, Amazon and Discogs for 15+ years
Two Irish buyers in all that time.

At least.. it's sickening after postage costs usually costing more than you charged. Usually not worth selling on eBay. I have a few fountain pens, do you have a pic of the pen?

I’ve had loads of sales on adverts it all depends what you sell I guess, sold an item for a grand only the other day, no messing about either

I’ve had loads of sales on adverts too over the years. Works well for certain type of products, but not what I am trying to sell..........I think.

eBay is a fantastic place to sell if you have something people want, you set out the buy it now price and include postage in that price and tick the box that says free post to attract more buyers

    I've sold 500 items on eBay :)
