I have a car that I bought in August and never cleared. Now I have it booked in for tomorrow but I don't know how to get the car there. I'm a named driver on my parents car so I thought they could switch their policy for a day, but the insurance company asked if the car was taxed and nct'd (MOT) and they didnt want to lie.

What is the legit way to solve this?

That's the only legal way to solve it.
