Bathroom flooring

Hi all, in our bathroom floor upstairs the grouting on the tiles keeps lifting, one or two of the tiles have cracked straight across and it feels uneven under foot. I reckon the sheets of plywood aren't correctly fitted but rather than lift everything I was wondering could I put levelling compound down over the tiles and then just fit lino over. Is this do-able or should I bite the bullet and lift the whole floor.

    Thanks

I'm not an expert but I wouldn't use compound over tiles. With the tiles down, you're probably already level with the threshold and the compound till add another couple of mm to this.

Levelling compound won't work. It's thin and brittle and if laid on a moving underfloor will simply crack up. You need to deal with the problem from bottom up: joist sound, floor sound, flexible adhesive, new tiles. It doesn't take long to remove tiles - a few hours to do it.

The tiles are not bonded to the plywood, they will come up quite easy.its probably not marine ply.Fit magnesium board and retile
