Hi, I have a 2002 yaris gearbox 1.4 diesel and I have the bearing trouble they all give. Did anyone ever do them. What's involved. I want to try and tackle it myself as I can't afford the €450 repair cost as parts are about €100. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

It is cheaper to buy used one. Here is no good and cheap garage who ever like to do the gearbox repair job. Honestly here in Ireland are almost 0 parts for gearboxes, expect the gearbox oil. Just buy another used on and hope it runs. Only remember to replace the oil, because nobody does not know how old it are. If you like to do it yourself, I can organize any part what you ever need.

Then your options are limited. Import, DIY or scrap the car. If you can repair yourself then parts are possible to organize.

I can make a quick look but I need more information than model and year. The VIN number tells the full story
