I'v recently started a job and I am absolutely certain it's not for me. The interviewers were clear about the position, and it's a nice company with nice people but the role is not something I am interested in. It's completely technical (IT/networking etc.) I feel like I've taken a wrong turn. I'm a very sociable, social-minded person and have somehow moved from a "caring" profession to a technical.
I know why I'm here - I had my head turned by the benefits I never had before (health insurance, permanency, bonus...) and I thought that so long as I had these, whatever work I did would be fine. I would adapt. But it turns out, I don't think I can and I really miss the "making a difference" part of my previous roles and I can't muster the enthusiasm this job requires.
    What should I do???
