Difference between Facebook & Google Analytics

Firstly I'm new to this so please excuse me if this is something simple.

I'm comparing data from Facebook/Google Ads and analytics. Google Ads purchase value and analytics pretty much matches, there is a slight variance of about 8%. On the other hand there is a 450% variance between FB and analytics. I have read that this can be down to visitors turning off cookies and not having java. Is this really the case. Should I be able to trust FBs purchase figures. Thanks
