hi, I wonder would anyone have any idea where the oil filter for an 06 Hyundai Tucson is located? I am getting a lot of mixed information online. I think I have located it on the back left of the engine bay but it has a hex bolt on the top and the Allen key does not fit tightly enough and I dont want to destroy it. Im not sure it this is the fuel filter, I haven't ever encountered an oil filter that requires an Allen key to remove it. Thanks

If you do not have a tool then you can just destroy the filter. Take a screwdriver and make a hole trough the filter and unscrew the filter. It is not nice but works well for tight budget/bush fix DIY oil filter change. Only be careful, do not make a hole near to the mounting area. Be sure you removing the old seal. Before installing the new filter, lubricate the new seal by oil. Do not use any tool for tightening. It should coming off by hand too if the previous mechanic did not .... it. Yes bit tight but should be possible. 2
