Where are they going downsizing the engine with the cruiser? 2.8l currently. Old lad wants to buy a new one but are we better off buying the last year of the 3.0l?

Everybody is downsizing. The new D-Max has gone from a 2.5/3.0 to a 1.9. The Ranger has gone from a 3.2/2.2 to a 2.0.

The Landcruiser has gone with a relatively mild downsizing. The new 2.8 has more Torque than the old 3.0.

Downsizing by 200cc would not worry me as much as some of the other engines. If he wants new then the 2.8l wouldnt phase me. I haven't read anything bad about them anyway.
