Starting a band in Ennis

    Looking for like-minded musicians to collaborate with and form a band based in the Ennis region. I have original songs ready to go in an eclectic mix of styles but also open to other originals, obscure covers or ideally creating new material with the right musicians. Please note that I am not interested in being involved with a covers band or playing any cover band material, Thanks. Shared musical aesthetic & enthusiasm vital. I play a few different instruments, guitar is my main instrument but I have been vocalist, bass player and on the odd occasion drummer in previous outfits. I have lots of band experience, gigging & touring. I'm also a recording/mixing sound engineer. The first acts that come to mind that have influenced me in some way are Captain Beefheart, The Fall, Pere Ubu, Fela Kuti,Kinks, Hawkwind, Floyd, Dylan, Zappa, Fugazi, Jeffrey Lewis, Nick Drake, Stump, Tom Waits, Jethro Tull, Wire, Can, The Fugs, Big Brother & The Holding Co., Beatles, Poison Girls, Black Sabbath, The Gories,... as well as many others. No beginners please.
