I used to frequent a body building website years ago and there was a fella from a local college posting on it claiming to be a competitive power lifter from Ireland.

    He even had pictures.

Oh wait he was using somebody’s pictures who also read the forum. It was highly embarrassing and as far as I remember the power lifter found out it was some chump who went to his gym but couldn’t be bothered eating 6 or 7 meals a day so just pretended he was a power lifter and read all the books.

Anyway do you remember any hilarious times where people were caught out being Walter Mittys or spoofers.

I remember that. And I kinda know both parties on a casual basis from gyms over the years.

the guy who lied apologised and admitted he had some mental health issues at the time as well as being young and stupid.
he was a teenager at the time.

But for some reason you think it's funny to come on here and laugh about something like that.

I see you're a tough guy on the gangland thread , are you here spreading your hardman persona into a new thread by picking on a teenager..?
    well played.

I think he was using photos of a former poster here (Hanley), if I'm remembering the correct event.

    A former friend of mine.

We had a summer job together years ago.

There was a massive mess up with a number of customers and no managers around. So I sorted it by organising people etc.

Years later he was telling me about the same situation but with him being the one that sorted it.

He had become a bit touched in the head by then but I had to take him to task.

He was like a malfunctioning android after.
