Looking for recommendation fro pre purchases surveyor in south Dublin Also, any advise on type of survey we need? Would pre purchase surveyor will be able to assess things as plumbing/electricity/heating? The house is about 30 year old and I expect will be sound structurally

Type 2 is the norm.

A surveyor will not carry out a thorough assessment of plumbing/electricity/heating. You would need a plumber / electrician / M&E Engineer to asses those. You will generally get a cursory examination on these from the Building Surveyor.
