For the first time in 20 years the evening schedule is changing on Feb 25th, The Simpsons are moving to 4pm and the Ellen DeGeneres Show will air on the channel for the first time in the 5pm slot. Thoughts ? Discuss

I can't imagine many people bother watching old episodes on RTE anymore what with streaming etc

Putting Ellen on at the same time as their live chat show 'Today with Maura and Daithi', who comes up with this sh1t? The same organisation show 'DAncing With The Stars' all 2 hours of it 3 times a week.

    Meh. :o

I miss the days when there was a proper news bulletin each weeknight followed by sport highlights.

These latest changes also affect news2day, which will now be on at 3:45. It must be said, news2day is a programme that very few people outside of RTÉ seem to notice - even though it has been going for a decade and a half now, and even with its status as the Irish equivalent of the venerable Newsround.

Must admit, I watched it rather a lot when Helen Joyce was among the presenters... :o;);)

Why are the Simpsons on at that time? Not appropriate for the children who will be watching at that time.
