    Scam, pure and simple.

    Why?

Essentially they were just troublesome shyte. Their main recurring problems had to do with the hydraulics. They were also very limited in their lift capacity. If memory serves, I think that you needed to have a ‘high-lift’ version to be able to lift anything bigger than a 3 furrow plough. I think that those versions were the ones with hookey arms (quick-attach).
JD lost a lot of followers and didn’t regain them again until the 10 series.

I got the reg number and more pictures of him and wants to do all by email and this tractor is too good to be true i think and no one else bit at the price so that do get alarm bells ringing too. A 3350 with miles and condt like this has got to be worth 10k plus all day long doesn't it

were they trouble though as some sweared by them and blamed the problems they had on how they were looked after

You are mad to even think about it.
You have been shown that very tractor in another ad. at 19,000 pounds, yet are still thinking of paying some con artist a serious chunk of money?

Just do one thing, tell the seller you are flying over to view it on Saturday, and ask for the post code where it is.
I guarantee you will get excuses why you can't see it.

Next thing, he will be talking about money transfers, and perhaps escrow accounts.

These scam ads are all over eBay ( and Done Deal from time to time) motor homes are another favourite subject used to snare gullible buyers.

Well they were a 25 year old design by that stage, basically a 3120 with a four speed gearbox instead of three speed ( plus 2 ranges and a hi-lo) and were at the absolute limit of their design capabilities.
Nice to drive, but if you got an internal hyd. leak or let the brakes wear down to the metal, you were in deep sh1t.
To see one working well, go to YouTube and search for Wonnorcalker

    Completely agree.
The ad is cloned. Its a common scam. Copy someone else ad and sell from a new ebay account with no feedback.

    A couple of things op.
Is the number plate he gave you the same as the other ad with the pics of the plate.

The tractor is good value but why do you think no one has bought it .

If you are still interested ring the lad in the 19k ad to find out about the tractor.
His number is in the ad

Probably 10,000 for a straight clean one.
Low hours (6000 etc) they will probably be looking 12 to 15,000.

A local contractor bought 2 3350s new back in the day.
One was the best thing ever to come into his yard. The other one was the worst. Always had issues
