Huawei B525 speedy during the day, slow at night

I got a B525 router off Amazon and have a 3 sim connected. I've tried various different positions around the house and the best position I'm getting is giving me the following signal stats:

    RSRQ: -8dB
    RSRP: -97dBm
    SINR: 9bB

With this, during the daytime I am getting decent speeds, sometimes up to 50mb down, 20mb up (wireless). During the evening-night though it's more like 10mb down or even less.

Is this because the signal (above) isn't what it should be, and an external antenna might help, or is it simply congestion in the evening time and there's nothing I can do about it?

You correct in both: external antenna might help with signal and yes it is congestion and its beyond your control.

Sounds like congestion and same thing happens to me with same router and on three. From about 7-8 onwards speed drops off a cliff. Only option would be change provider.

It's probably just uploading your data back to China overnight.
