Cheap as chips - rapeseed oil

    Got some cooking oil,100% rapeseed, 1 litre 1€ , don't go to spar castleknock it's 2.49€ , even though the spar web says 1.09€ , available in hartstown eurospar.

    I noticed a while ago that most cheap vegetable oils when you look at the ingredients are 100% rapeseed.
    Kinda funny when theres a bottle of swanky Rapeseed oil sitting beside it on the shelf for five euro more...

    Lidil standard cheap oil is Rapeseed oil

    Seems there is a difference. The cheaper generic stuff is allegedly "pressed using heat and chemicals" whilst the dearer stuff is now "cold pressed".
