If ever a picture painted a thousand words then this is it. From the 'I know' smile of Varadker and the smirk of 'our' Minister. Something tells me that there are worrying times ahead for Irish farming. If only farmers had a proper union like the nurses do.

I say Leo won't lose much sleep over the state of Irish Agriculture and I say this coming from a long line of FG supporters.

At our last discussion group meeting the surprise speaker was on mental health , it certainly doesn't auger well for the future of beef farming when this strategy is being handed down from on high.

Some people see challenges, others see opportunity.

What would you like to see happen in Irish farming yourself?

I'm not greedy. I would like to raise my family without having to milk eight times the cows and become the parishes biggest employer. If sfp goes OK. A race to the bottom is a race not worth running in.

Must be an easy area to rent land.
