    Hi Folks,

In the middle of ordering parts. I thought I had my mobo choice locked down. Then I decided on a colour scheme and looked at different z390 mobos.

    MPG-Z390-GAMING-PLUS (Original Choice)

    mag-z390-tomahawk

I read about power delivery not being up-to-scratch on the Tomahawk and can't achieve high overclocks?

I really like that board so it would be a shame if it's limited. My goal is to OC an i5 9600K to ~5GHz

Does anybody know about power delivery of either board? and if I can get a good OC on the Tomahawk?

    Thanks for the advice.

I have the Tomahawk and 4.8Ghz is perfectly stable.

Thanks for the reassurance. Is there anything the MPG board has over the Tomahawk?

I never even gave mobo features a second look back when I built my last rig (i5 2500K :pac:) Now it's like oooh metal details, RGB, M2, USB-C
