Teaching in Ireland

Hi all. I am from Armagh and was educated in Armagh.

I went to uni in Liverpool and trained to be a computing teacher. I have been teaching in England for 7 years now and have been head of a successful computer science department in London for the past 4 years.

My wife is from Dublin and we are looking at moving back to Ireland.

I'm looking into registering with the teaching council currently.

Do I have much chance if getting a job do you think? I could go into industry, but I love teaching. I know computing is only being ran currently as a trial in 40 schools - I've been following closely.

In terms of supply - I've been told there is a lot of work in supply at the minute. Is this the case? What's the daily rate like?

Thanks in advance for any input.
