I was chatting to a mate of mine the other day and he was saying his wife is upset because 3 of her employees from her hair Salon left and opened up another hair salon in the same town.

Hair salon life cycle as far as I can see.

    1. Two friends working in a hair salon decide the owner is a bitch and doesn't treat them right

    2. They decide to open up their own salon in the same town hoping they would take most of the clientele with them.

    3. Soon after opening things don't go to plan and they start bitching. One thinks that the other is not pulling her weight and decides she needs to get out and open her own here salon.

    4. Repeat steps 1-3 until your town is overrun with hair salons

Are hair salons where women go to bitch and fight with each other endlessly?

Most salons are operations for washing more than hair, I reckon.

To answer, much like a recruitment buisiness, once you have a smaller list of good customers who want to work with YOU then you are good to set up as you have a base on which to build.

Look what they’re charging. Profit margins must be so good that a few customers going to each is enough.

Its nail salons around here. Must be 20 of them in the town. Some I assume are "nail salons".

No wonder herself is always going to "get her hair done"

First they came for the socialists...

You are right OP, the same can be said of bands. There are a lot of bands out there who are made up of musicians who have fallen out with former band mates and set up their own band. Eventually the new band will also go sour, so the front-men go out on their own.

Also, where you have a third level institute nearby that offers a diploma in hairdressing and beauty, you will have mass expansion of hairdressers in that town.

its like a lot of businesses.

Work for someone else, get paid **** money: work for yourself, earn a decent wedge.

All hairdressers are in the employment of the government. Hairs are your aerials. They pick up signals from the cosmos, and transmit them directly into the brain. This is the reason why bald headed men are uptight

During times of recession, hair/beauty salons tend to be immune to the downturn. Possible reason being womens hypergamy. As resources dry up at home, she goes out looking for a man with more to give
