App for streaming or chromecast?

    Hi all,
    I have an iPhone and iPad. I have an android box I use for tv shows and movies. Is there much capability on streaming content from my phone to the box..
    Is there any apps via the App Store worth checking out/paying for?
    I have downloaded tv cast but it doesn’t seem to work. So I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong
    I’m also considering buying a chromecast. Is their any advantage/disadvantage
