Hi

I have the eir F200 modem and the 300 mb fibre to the home package.
I have eir TV ethernet cable hooked into Lan port 4 and my laptop ethernet cable in Lan port 3.
When I go to the maintain tab on my router - Lan Port 4 (eir tv) shows as having a rate of 1000M / Full. However Lan port 3 shows as having a rate of 100M / Full

Even if I unplug eir tv from Lan port 4 and disabled wireless - Lan port 3 only transmits 100mb.
I even tried the ethernet cable from the eir tv box and it never transmits more than 100mb over any Lan port to my laptop.

I understand that the router tries to divide bandwidth for all connected and wireless device. But is there any way that I can tell the router to always transmit at 1000mbs for all ethernet ports?

Your laptop or connecting lan cable  may only support 100M. Check the spec of your laptop.
