Dun Laoghaire Pier (East) weather station - anyone know what's going on?

Anyone who lives around the Dun Laoghaire area will probably be aware of the automated weather station towards the lighthouse end of the East Pier - instruments mounted on top of the pier's wall and a large LED display set into the wall which displays temperature, pressure, wind speed and a few other parameters, as well as the trends (up or down) for them.

Some time ago, the station itself seems to have been moved (the instruments looked to have been removed from on top of the wall) although the display continued to show the output, but at some point over the last few months, the display has been turned off. A note slipped into the display case behind the glass directs passers by to www.dlhweather.com, which does show the current conditions, but this website contains no information about the actual station, and does not appear to respond to email correspondence.

Does anyone have any info about what's going on with this, and whether this display will ever make a comeback? I always enjoyed checking it out when walking down the pier, and although obviously all of the information is now readily available online, I still miss the display itself.
