    Hi All

Hoping for some advice. I am due to start a CE Scheme in a couple of weeks and will be undertaking a training course. Am getting mixed information regarding the hours. I was led to believe that the total time per week is 19.5 hours (placement + training) but have now been told that 19.5 must be on placement and training hours are outside of this.

Just wondering if anyone has been in this situation?? I'm quite happy to do the scheme and don't want to appear difficult but know one man doing same who is doing 19.5 total. Any advice welcomed

    TIA

    4.3.1.2. Specific Skills Training
Specific Skills Training undertaken throughout the project and identified in the Training Plan should link to the potential for employment after the project. This involves the participant, in consultation with the supervisor, sourcing and undertaking identified and approved training/education opportunities. Participants will generally carry out this training in their own time unless the participant and Supervisor come to a mutually agreed solution (in writing) in advance of the submission to DEASP for approval and the training commencing as to the proportion of working time to own time for that particular piece of training.

    Hello,

I am currently on a CE Scheme myself. I did a course back in Sept 2018 . I work half days Monday to Friday on my scheme . My course was a full Tuesday for 6 weeks. I normally would work 8am to 12pm . The course ran 8am to 4pm. I got the full 24 hours back as holidays. I worked up more than 24 hours with the course.

You should talk to your manager about this just in case .

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,
    P.Grffen

    Hi all,
I am currently doing a CE scheme. Can you swap CE schemes if you get into a different one or is this not allowed?
