Transmission fluid in coolant

In a moment of stupidity today I picked up the wrong bottle, transmission fluid, and used it to top up my coolant which was running low.

Apart from a big eye-roll, what should I do? My car is due a service anyway but is it ok to run it? As I live in an apartment I can’t easily drain it.

    Thanks!!

If your car have a coolant tank what was not completely empty and you did not start the engine then just empty the coolant tank and fill by coolant. On the garage they can replace the coolant.

Thanks all! I think I’ll ring around tomorrow and see what the best option is - eg get it towed to a garage or have somebody come out and flush out the tank here. I live in an apartment block and it’s parked underground which could be awkward.

    Lesson learned anyway - eyeroll!

I work every weekend on apartment block underground garage. No big deal if I clean my mess :) I seen everywhere are the same activity, only very very bad management can block that kind of activity.
