Always sunny in Philadelphia is one of the funniest things I have watched.

Brooklyn 9/9 has the best comedic cast and each episode is 10/10.

Toast of London is as zany and as funny as a British comedy can be.

Derek is Ricky Gerviais best work (in my opinion) and each episode can make you laugh out loud and cry in equal measure.

That will last you a week or two.

It's 2 years old now but (for the time of year) I'd highly recommend watching Michael Bolton's Big Sexy Valentines Special. It's only an hour long but it's good for a laugh.

In the same boat with Netflix and I enjoy creepy mystery thrillers if anyone has recommendations. Loved the Haunting of Hill House.

Roma by Alfonso Cuaron. About to win best film and a few other oscars apparently. And not screening in the cinema!
    Searching for Sugarman

(Psst ...watching Breaking Bad is not mandatory; despite what its many fans say)

I watched it last night, it was OK but not up there with the greats, at least not for me. Im not a fan of having to read subtitles.

Watched a new series over the weekend called ‘dirty john’ supposedly based on a true story where a guy convinces a rich woman to marry him after something ridiculously short like 8 or 9 weeks. He also attend family gatherings which make his stepdaughters very uncomfortable. It’s a strange show but very entertaining. The psychology of the flaws of the main character is fascinating. It could have been developed more but I liked it.

IT crowd is a brilliant show. Written by graham linnehan of father ted fame and starring Boyle native Chris ondowd (policeman in bridesmaid). His work relationship with Moss (Richard Ahoade) is so funny with one of the highlights being the ‘countdown episode where it’s played on the edge with ‘street countdown. Which as exactly the same rules as original countdown but played on the street. As usual Matt. berry steals the show. I just find him so funny. And his stupidity coupled with his voice/ accent is so cleverly constructed.

Another show I loved is ‘rake’. Main character is a barrister in Australia but is a sex addict, alcoholic and drugs abuser. His cases are usually the ones that are impossible to win. Each day is mayhem but Rake ‘richard roxburgh is so likeable that you warm to him.

Never heard anyone talking about it which surprised me.

Finally the funniest series I have seen in a long time is ‘toast of london’ Starring Matt Berry. A struggling actor who relies on an ineffectual office manager to secure work. He is ridiculed by one of the only company who employs him for voiceover work. Matt Berry’s casual sexism, racism and inability to engage with people in a positive way make him perfect for the role. Well worth a watch.

Didn’t like Sex Education at all. Found it bland.

Watched ‘the end of the fcuking world’ and loved it. About two teenagers who embark in an adventure. The girl is a rebel without a cause who because of abandonment issues wants to act like an adult but is just a little girl. The other 16 year old is an outsider who also has abandonment issues but it manifests in sociopathic tendency and the reason he is on the trip is because he wants to murder someone to know what it feels like. But when push comes to shove although a sociopath who wants to be a callous murderer he’d cry if he cut himself shaving. I thought I’d hate it but was absorbed by it.

Got. Y best surprise last night when I noticed that Blow has been added to Netflix. It is Johnny Della portrayal of being Boston George, the biggest American importer Of cocaine (from Pablo) of all time. Love that film.

Would make my year if Netflix added true romance and casino. But that’s probably a wish too far.

Also, still think Ricky Gervais portrayal of a 50 year old autistic man working in a nursing home ‘derek’ to be one of the funniest, saddest and most poignant portrayal of someone with ID. Love love love.
