Clueless on 1 ltr 125PS. Is this eco boost?

    I’m looking to buy a 172 Ford Focus 1 ltr 125 PS. I don’t see reference to eco boost in the ad. Is this important. Should I be concerned by engine size? I won’t be doing any big mileage. Not using car during week. Just for mainly short trips locally at weekends with odd trip down the country.

    It's a 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. It's pretty good.

    It will be faster than the likes of a traditional 1.4 Focus if that’s what you’re worried about. 80PS vs 125PS.

    I don’t know but I have a fair idea. I just wasn’t sure if it had ecoboost as no mention in ad. But I guess 125 PS is the same thing?

    125ps is just the power rating. It's the 123bhp model.

    All of the 1 litre focus are ecoboost no matter what PS rating. Ecoboost is just Ford's own term for turbocharged.

    That’s good to know. Knowing nothing I was worried when I didn’t see the word ecoboost.
